Our Clinical Esthetician, Vivian Santiago

Many people see the term "clinical esthetician or aesthetician" and think - or that's the lady who does massages & waxing at my hair salon. Although a clinical esthetician can do waxing or massages, that isn't usually their specialty. Clinical estheticians can work not only in spas or salons, but also with medical professionals like plastic surgeons or rehabilitation centers. Clinical estheticians are trained in the care & repair of skin that is either damaged or suffering from skin diseases & issues. They are akin to the physician's assistant, trained to perform specific treatments to relieve skin problems.

Beautiful skin is a gift that a clinical esthetician can give you.

Clinical Esthetician in training

As a young child, Vivian loved to read. Each day, after school, she would pull out a volume of her parents encyclopedias, and open the book. One day she opened the "C" volume to an image of Elizabeth Taylor, dressed as Cleopatra. She read about this enigmatic woman, who enchanted powerful men. In the encyclopedia, it talked about Cleopatra's beauty routines, and the products she used. These routines & products included:

  • Milk Bathes
  • Salt Scrubs
  • Royal Jelly
  • Rose Water
  • Clay Masques
  • Hemp Seed Oil
  • Aloe Leaf Juice
  • Unrefined Shea Butter
  • Tallow Soap
  • Beeswax

Young Vivian was amazed & curious at the same time. Many of the things that Cleopatra used could be found in her own home. A love for esthetics was born that very day. Vivian started to make her own formulas, using what was available in her home. She would "practice" her skills on anyone willing to let her. She was absolutely hooked.

Clinical products for the Clinical Esthetician

Vivian offers two product lines: Aveda & CosMedix. Both lines are naturally derived skincare. Both promise to give your skin superior results.
